During this year’s ASLA Mid-Year meeting, on Saturday April 29, The Peoples Climate March occurred in Washington DC. Members from the Board of Trustees and The Chapter Presidents Council took part during their busy 3 day schedule to attend the march. April Philips, Carolyn Orazi and Elizabeth Boults were excited to represent our chapter and the ASLA in taking a stand for the environment and our planet we call home. Thousands attended and marched down Pennsylvannia Avenue and our group even made it in a front page photo in USA Today! April headed up the poster creation team and others marched with an ASLA banner. It was a breathtaking event to participate in and experience the joy and camaraderie of like minded people sharing our collective voices. We are proud to be part of the movement to protect the planet and speak up on climate change.
