Looking for ways to give back this holiday season? Consider becoming an ACE Mentor in the Bay Area, and inspire high schoolers to consider becoming a landscape architect! Founded in 1994, the no-cost after-school program prioritizes workforce development for high school students by connecting them with experts from the design and construction industry. To apply for the spring semester, register online, the next cohort begins in January.
Support the Architectural Foundation of San Francisco (AFSF) by becoming a mentor, or enlisting your office to get involved. AFSF is always looking for more mentors, including anyone in the design/build world such as architects, landscape architects, engineers, construction managers, interior designers, graphic designers and professionals from other related fields. Most AFSF programs are 6-weeks long, and mentoring involves 1-hour weekly online sessions. For more details, apply online at afsf.org/mentoring/, or contact Fred Werner: fred@afsf.org
