The recovery of San Franciscoäó»s Hilltop äóìSundialäó Park located in Bayview-Hunters Point neighborhood is an example of landscape architectureäó»s far-reaching positive impact. The three acre park had become a dangerous blight on the community and a symbol of neglect.

Following input gathered in numerous community meetings, a new design was forged incorporating interactive features throughout, promoting the health of children, young adults, and seniors while respecting the iconic remains of its original 1978 plan. Inspired by the movement of celestial bodies in our solar system, the new design provides innovative amenities set within a sustainably designed accessible landscape. The inspiring public destination attracts users from all parts of San Francisco and has become the pride of the community.
