This suburban project sits in the heart of Silicon Valley, and we felt our challenge was to create a diversity of spaces within a tight neighborhood context, incorporating both wild and refined elements. The opportunities we found were to create meaningful connections to the home through architectural walls and paving moving out into the landscape to blend livable spaces with horticulturally rich surroundings. These deliberate hardscape elements merge with bold drifts of free form plant groupings to create a diversity of character in a limited spatial frame, and provide people within the spaces to engage beauty at every turn.
