We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Project Manager – Landscape to join a highly collaborative and dynamic Landscape Architecture and Urban Design team with opportunities for growth. The ideal individual will have 8+ years of experience and a self-starter with strong project management skills. Professionals with experience in Landscape Architecture and Urban Design at various scales are welcome to apply.
As a Project Manager – Landscape on the Perkins&Will team, your skills and passion will come to life through the following responsibilities:
- Leading all phases of the design process with a high level of proficiency and expertise while adhering to firm and project goals and standards of excellence in design, execution, and living design.
- Managing all aspects of projects to ensure efficient execution within scope and budget.
- Leading project teams, fostering collaboration, demonstrating strong and effective communication and providing direction which inspires high team performance, design ideas, and successful project delivery.
- Leading effort in developing and validating project scope, fees and budget, services during the marketing and contract development process.
- Being accountable for complete and timely communication of project information to and from clients and project team.
- Managing projects using the Perkins&Will Project Management toolkit; completing work plans in PMTK, including identification of project team members, budget, consultants, schedule for completion, fees, and costs as well as projecting change notices or other actions taking place on the assigned project.
- Working with Landscape Architects and/or Urban Designers to avoid or eliminate conflicts in schedule due to the changes in various projects.
- Providing on-going communication through team meetings, minutes, and memos to project team.
- Communicating with clients, consultants, contractors, sub-consultants, and other disciplines to ensure successful relationships.
- Monitoring construction administration during the construction phase.
- Understanding and responding to technical implications and design decisions.
- Participating in marketing opportunities and developing successful client relationships for continuing business.
- Controlling risk management by monitoring client issues and technical issues in a timely manner to minimize liability.
- Reviewing work for accuracy, omissions, legibility, and for document compliance in accordance with the Project Delivery Manual.
- Coordinating staffing resources with Operations Director.
- Mentoring staff.
To join us, you should have:
- A professional degree in Architecture, Design, or related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience showcasing significant work across Landscape and Urban Design projects.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software; including Revit.
- LEED GA or AP accreditation within 6 months of hire.
- PMP designation preferred.
- CA experience and Licensure strongly preferred.
