On Tuesday night, December 6, ASLA-NCC held its annual Presidents’ Reception at the new Berkeley Art Museum/Pacific Film Archive. We celebrated the investiture of our 2016 Fellows-Cathy Blake, Tom Leader, David Meyer, and Gary L. Strang-and honored our Jot D. Carpenter Medal recipient, Chip Sullivan. A jazz quartet comprised of students from the renowned Berkeley High School music program kept the vibe cool while members strolled through the galleries. Past President Marybeth Harasz reviewed the year’s activities, and Trustee April Philips commented on national initiatives for 2017. The generosity of our sponsors- Park West, Delta Bluegrass, Landscape Forms, Quick Crete, Rainbird and Tournesol-helped make the evening fun, festive and fantastic for all. What a great way to welcome the holiday season!
