This talk would facilitate a discussion on how we as Landscape Architects are trained (and thrive) in multidisciplinary practice. We are designers, facilitators, advocates, economists, scientists, engineers…I’ll share my personal journey within our profession focusing on how it has helped me change my own perception of what we do and witness transformation not only on how we all practice, but also how I believe we have contributed to our communities’ perceptions of our environment and the role they play in it. The “multiple hats” we wear helps us influence many spheres of our communities, and interestingly, I believe it has prepared us to adapt and continue to be productive in these times of social distancing.
