What is the commitment?
The elections will be held online in July and August for terms that commence in October. All positions are a minimum one year term with the exception of President-Elect and Trustee, which are three years. The Executive Committee meets once a month, both in person and by conference call, to oversee the operation of the chapter, which include: organizing programs and events (Lecture Series, Chapter Annual Meeting and Awards Presentation, SF Giants Outing, San Jose Sharks Night), fellowship nominations, mentorship program, website updates and publishing of the Chapter newsletter. Executive Committee members discuss and take action on a variety of issues confronting the profession, locally and nationally, from emerging industries to public relations, licensure, and more. Participating on the Committee expands one’s awareness of the profession well beyond the Northern California Chapter and offers an experience that cannot be gained any other way!
