This tour provides a firsthand look into the perspectives of the Owner, Architect, and Landscape Architect, highlighting the collaboration within the team at San Francisco’s new waterfront neighborhood. Notably featured in Architectural Record in 2023, the tour centers on the integration with Building 12. The tour leaders —Owner, Architect, and Landscape Architect — will delve into the project, shedding light on the collaborative process that drove the achievement of design and resiliency goals for the Pier 70 neighborhood.

As we walk around the site and into Building 12 attendees will hear firsthand about the site’s important history and the vision for its future; the project’s strategy for meeting our resiliency goals including addressing sea level rise (which included raising the site grades and lifting Building 12 ten feet); and the extensive community outreach program that laid the groundwork for this emerging neighborhood along the San Francisco waterfront.

Presented by AIASF in collaboration with the Center for Architecture + DesignAIASF international Practice and AIASF Mentorship Knowledge Communities, ASLA Northern California and led by the Owner, Architect and Landscape Architect representatives involved in the design and construction.
