The JEDI Committee of ASLA-NCC is proud to present the ASLA-NCC Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) Scholarship.
This scholarship was established to tangibly support the advancement of emerging professionals from historically underrepresented backgrounds, in alignment with our ongoing commitment to the JEDI mission. It seeks to reduce barriers to entry into the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) for BIPOC individuals—including Black, Indigenous, AANHPI, MENA, LGBTQIA+, and other marginalized communities.
Through this initiative, we aim to provide access, resources, and meaningful opportunities to individuals who may not have had them in the past, while fostering a more inclusive and representative pipeline of future leaders in landscape architecture. Our goal is to encourage long-term engagement with ASLA-NCC and support the career development of diverse professionals within the field.
We are thrilled to announce the third year of the ASLA-NCC JEDI Scholarship! This year, two recipients will each receive a one-time award that includes a one-year ASLA membership. In addition, recipients will be invited to serve in an honorary role as JEDI Advocate with ASLA-NCC, with the opportunity to take part in two of our signature events – the Design Awards and the President’s Reception – and gain opportunities for leadership, professional connection, and long-term engagement within the landscape architecture community.
This scholarship is aimed to support and elevate emerging voices in landscape architecture – those who are passionate about creating a more just, equitable, diverse, and inclusive future for the profession and our communities. We invite our community to help spread the word, nominate potential applicants, and encourage emerging leaders to apply.
Applications are due Friday, July 25th, 2025.
