Lead Landscape Architect: Yibin Que
Client: Academy of Art
Colma Creek Park has been designed to be a resilient landscape. It is intended to be as a unique landscape prototype to showcase how to sustainably deal with the flooding problems, restore the local ecosystem and provide space for human life style. The design focus on rediscovering the natural creek system including better flood control function and trying to allow the landscape to adapt to more frequent and severe climatic conditions. While creating more recreation space for people and making it connect to the surrounding neighborhood. Space also can create an opportunity to let people have interactions with nature. Meanwhile, the unique landscape is a showcase to educate people how to äóìmake a friend with natureäó instead of opposing it.
