DESCRIPTION:This tour provides a firsthand look into the perspectives of the Owner\, Architect\, and Landscape Architect\, highlighting the collaboration within the team at San Francisco’s new waterfront neighborhood. Notably featured in Architectural Record in 2023\, the tour centers on the integration with Building 12. Ashley Langworthy\, Director\, Western Region of BRV\, will share the importance of passionate and engaged management of public realm spaces\, and how programming creates a lasting\, emotional connection for visitors to a park and is critical to long-term park success and vitality. She will share ‘boots on the ground’ examples from her on-going projects\, including Salesforce Park in San Francisco\, Bryant Park in New York City\, and Fair Park in Dallas. \nAshley Langworthy\nAshley is the Director of Biederman Redevelopment Venture’s Western Region. With over 20 years of experience\, Ashley is instrumental in activating\, developing\, and rehabilitating complex urban projects. Ashley oversees her team to manage\, operate\, and activate the public rooftop park at Salesforce Transit Center in downtown San Francisco\, she is also managing a team to update the Master Plan for Dallas’ culturally and historically significant Fair Park\, as well as developing and implementing a new community park within Fair Park.\n\nAshley is an active member of Lambda Alpha International and the Urban Land Institute. Ashley serves on ULI’s Sustainable Development Council\, NEXT Steering Committee\, and Policy and Practice Committee. Ashley is a licensed Landscape Architect and an AICP Certified Planner and received her Master in Urban Planning from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design.
